2049

2049 is a screamo band from Columbus. They're part of what I've been calling the new wave of emo, along with more popular groups like Algernon Cadwallader and the Saddest Landscape, which mix classic skramo/emoviolence sound with contemporary indie influences. The coolest thing about 2049 is that virtually all of their songs are about, and contain references to, the Asimov short story "Nightfall," which is great in it's own right.
